Dar al-Tarjama cooperates Dar
Al-Ifta’a - Cairo:
It is an Honor to deliver to you this wonderful news and in such blessed
days before Ramadan. DAT started its cooperation with Dar Al-Ifata' of Egypt.
Through this cooperation DAT is to translate Dar Al-Ifata' website:
http://dar-alifta.com/ into four languages; English, French,
German and Spanish.
The first meeting held was on the 29th August 2005, in Dar
Al-Ifta's premises. The meeting included Dr. Ali Goma'a the Mufti of Egypt, his
secretary, Nermeen Hussein, and Marwa Madian, from DAT.
The texts to be translated go under three main categories:
1-
Translation of the huge database of Fatawa.
2-
Translation of Researches.
3-
Translation of statements that are mainly
addressing non-Muslims, answering their questions or refuting their claims.
Our cooperation is totally voluntary, yet we can all imagine the
thawab we will gain ISA. Not to mention the credibility
and authenticity DAT will gain ISA upon such a cooperation with the second most
supreme Islamic authority in Egypt, after Al-Azhar.
Dar al-Tarjama cooperates with the
Intl’ Commission for Scientific Signs in Qur’an & Sunnah:
An agreement was concluded between both the Intl’
Commission for Scientific Signs in Qur’an and Sunnah and Dar al-Tarjama,
in the presence of Dr. Refaat al-Awady
(head of the Cairo office).
The commission would like to translate their website
www.nooran.org
into more than one language, starting
with; English, French and German then extending later on to include; Spanish,
Italian, Chinese.. etc. The head office of
the commission (based in Saudi Arabia) will fund this project through paying
agreed amounts to the translators as well as the proofreaders, in addition to
other additional benefits.
It was also agreed that Dar al-Tarjama will be responsible for testing
any applicants who would be interested in translating (from outside Dar
al-Tarjama members). Hence Dar al-Tarjama will run the whole translation
operation and will be responsible for the final quality of the work presented to
the commission.
Dar al-Tarjama cooperates with CIMS
(Conveying Islamic Message Society):
Both parties have agreed on the following:
CIMS is mainly active in printing and publishing Islamic books and
booklets in about 47 languages.
They distribute these books for the sake of Allah
(free of any charge) on various Islamic centers all over the
world. The books are printed in large amounts and are spread all over many
countries of the world. CIMS has more than
75 years of experience in this area, since 1929. For more about CIMS you can
visit their website at:
www.islamic-message.net
It was agreed that CIMS will print all the material translated by Dar
al-Tarjama to distribute them over the foreigners inside and outside Egypt,
bearing the full costs incurred.
These texts will be distributed for the sake of Allah, that’s to say, they won’t
be sold or otherwise used for generating any profits.
The Arabic convoy is not accepting any translators for the
time being until further notice. Instead, we are just accepting highly qualified
proofreaders and editors. If you would like to join as a proofreader or an
editor, please e-mail the convoy head and we will send you your
evaluation test. For those who wish to translate please follow this section with
us from time to time for announcements.
