Our Vision: Dar Al-Tarjama (DAT) is to take the
lead in the honest conveying of the true message of Islam to all humanity, in
all possible live languages. In parallel, DAT is to play a pioneering role in
Arabizing modern science and technology for the welfare of all Arabs. This is to
be achieved through the establishment of a worldwide and comprehensive
translation practice starting with the Arab countries then spreading to the rest
of the world, for the satisfaction of our Creator the Almighty Allah (SWT).
The enormity of our responsibility towards this most noble mission mandates that
DAT should achieve and maintain the highest attainable level of professional
standards, in terms of preciseness, fluency and satisfying the needs of our
global readers.
Our
mission statement: Translation is the portal of the Arab Nation to the
whole world, and the portal of all mankind to the world of Islam.
Our Mission:
A.
Translating from Arabic into foreign languages: to convey the
true message of Islam to all humanity, in every possible language, targeting two
groups:
-
Non-Muslims worldwide: introducing Islam as the true
faith and global message. Calling to Islam, and correct misconceptions about
Islam and Muslims, in history and in the present.

Muslims: providing them with a comprehensive
understanding and awareness about Islam, their history, their nation and the
role they were entrusted with.
B.
Translate into Arabic from foreign
languages: Arabization of world achievements in selected areas, useful and
needed for our nation, such as: Science/Technology and Information/Computers
technology.
Our Objectives:
Our Prime Objective is to please
Allah, SWT and to serve Islam through the proper use of the knowledge that Allah
has bestowed on us, through:
A.
Missionary Objectives:

Introducing Islam to the whole world as the true guidance from
the One God, the final version of basically the same message of all prophets and
messengers, and as a moderate religion calling for work, endeavor and cooperation.

Conveying the authentic Islamic sciences, free of any
inclinations or contradictions, to the Muslims, as well as to recent reverts or
potential reverts.

Highlighting Islam as the comprehensive rational way of
civilized life, fit for all mankind of all times.

Refuting all dubious claims about Islam, in the past or present,
based on ignorance, misconception or ill intentions,
and proving to the world how Islam rejects
terrorism, fanaticism, rigidity and backward thinking.

Exposing mankind to a panorama of modern Muslim thought by
renowned writers and authentic scholars.
B.
Enlightening objectives:
-
Conveying scientific knowledge from their original sources in
all languages to Arabic (Arabizing), satisfy the needs and interests of Arab
countries in the various sciences.

Mobilizing the maximum number of specialized scientists who wish
to Arabize their works, for the benefit of other scholars and students.
C.
Short term objectives:
1-
Working out a detailed 5-years strategy of DAT.
2-
Setting the organizational structure, and an overall management
scheme.
3-
Setting standards for the quality of translation works, as well
as the work management quality standards.
4-
Building up committed staff teams (paid and volunteer); mainly
for translation, proof reading, editing, technical revision, word-processing,
page setting, web page design, simultaneous interpretation.. etc.
5-
Hiring needed consultants in the different scientific fields.
