Paradise in Our Homes - II
Episode 3
This episode addresses both parents and youth, so please listen to me carefully. I will talk about three topics. First of all, sex is not a game. It is an intense and sacred relationship. That's why Allah (SWT) teaches you girls that your bodies and virginity are His (SWT) deposits for you. You shall never betray Him (SWT); you shall take care of them. Unfortunately, a group of girls nowadays-a small one- takes the matter easy and says that they can manage it medically, and that it is not a big deal. Allah (SWT) says what can be translated as, "O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, and do not betray your deposits and you know that. (TMQ 8:27)." Never betray your deposits. The prophet (SAWS) asks one of the youth if he accepts something like that to happen to his mother, sister, aunt or daughter. He wants the youth to visualize the image, and to consider the girl he wants to commit adultery with as his mother or sister.
I am addressing men now. Imagine that while you are committing adultery with a girl, someone is doing the same to a girl that belongs to your family at the same moment. This is very important, people: SEX is not a game. This idea must be planted in our children's hearts and minds. Allah (SWT) says about marriage what can be translated as; "And they have taken from you a solemn compact? (TMQ 4:21)." He (SWT) calls marriage a "solemn compact". This word only appears in the Qur'an three times: when He (SWT) assigned prophecy to the prophets and messengers, when He (SWT) ordered the Israeli people to construct the earth, and when He (SWT) talks about marriage.
Allah (SWT) says what can be translated as, "And the ones who do not invoke another god (along) with Allah, nor kill the self that Allah has prohibited except with the truth nor commit adultery; (i.e., illegal sexual intercourse) and whoever performs that will meet the penalty for vice. Doubled will be the torment for him on the Day of the Resurrection, and he will eternally (abide) therein degraded. Except him who repents, and believes, and does righteous deed (s). So those, Allah will turn (Or: substitue fair deeds in place of odious ones) their odious (deeds) into fair (deeds); (TMQ 25:68-70)." Allah (SWT) links adultery to disbelieving in Him (SWT), and killing because adultery violates the whole universe; it is a great deadly sin, and it is not a game. The penalty of adultery is so painful and terrific in hell. The prophet (SAWS) says about the fire of this life that it is 1/70 of the hellfire! Can you imagine how will the hellfire be?
A solar eclipse took place at the time of the prophet (SAWS). He prayed with people and told them that Allah (SWT) is jealous about his worshippers (males or females) to commit adultery. He wants to say that adultery is a sign that the Day of Judgment is about to come because it spreads corruption among mankind. The prophet (SAWS) also says that Allah (SWT) removes one’s faith from his heart when one commits adultery. When you take off your clothes, you are taking off your faith and religion too because you are destroying the basis of the earth. You are precious, girls in Islam, why you are degrading yourselves.
Adultery degrades you forever, and that man will leave you even if he loves you. If he married you an unregistered marriage, and promised you honestly to propose to you, believe me he will not, and he will ran from you. Then you are the big loser.
The only legal way to fulfill your sexual appetite is marriage. If you are not going to be married at the moment, you should try to calm it down through different ways such as: not watching licentious sites or scenes, and shut your eyes to any thing that will awake such appetite. The prophet (SAWS) says that whoever shuts his eyes to anything that will awake his sexual appetites by his will, Allah (SWT) will reward him by making him chose any one he wishes from the wide-eyed huris in the afterlife. He (SAWS) also says that whoever can afford marriage shall marry, and whoever cannot, he shall fast. Besides, you should busy yourselves by playing sports, and work in charity.
I ask the parents to facilitate the marriage for their boys and girls, and to stop complicating it please. Help your boys to work in the summer instead of staying at home; make them busy. You should talk to your children before puberty about sex, adultery, and that it is not a game in a friendly way; stop being aggressive to them. That is why Allah (SWT) asked the girls to wear the hijab in order to calm down our lusts. Moreover, Allah (SWT) says what can be translated as, "do not be too subdued of speech, so that he in whose heart is sickness may long for (too much expectation of you) (TMQ 33:32)." I am asking the media, and the press to help the youth to calm down their lusts, please help them. This is the first point.
The second point by which we will finish our episode today is that molestation is a kind of adultery in Islam. I am sorry to say that it is now spreading in the clubs, universities, streets, and even in schools. Unfortunately, it is considered as a kind of joking, but actually it is so insulting. Listen to this story, a delegation came to Madinah to approve its loyalty to Allah (SWT) and His prophet (SAWS). Among this delegation was a young man. While he was walking at night, he saw a woman, and he tugged her as a kind of molestation. The matter was known. On the next day, the delegation went after the Fajr prayer to the prophet, and each one approved his loyalty.
The prophet (SAWS) was so happy and shook hands with them one by one till he came to the young man. The prophet (SAWS) asked him if he was the man who tugged the woman last night. The man answered that he is. The prophet (SAWS) then told him that he cannot accept his approval. The young man begged him (SAWS) to accept his approval promising that he will never do it again. As a result, he (SAWS) accepted him. The prophet (SAWS) also says that being hit by a piece of iron on one's head is easier for man than committing adultery. A man went to the prophet (SAWS) and said to him that he has kissed a woman.
The prophet (SAWS) then turned his face away from him and left him alone. Then, Jebril (AS) (Gabriel) descended and conveyed to the prophet (SAWS) this ayah which can be translated as, "And keep up the prayer at the two extremities of the daytime and in the early reaches of the night. Surely the fair deeds will put away the odious deeds. That is a Reminding to the mindful. (TMQ 11:114)." This is the end of our episode, and I finished two points today. Let us now return to Allah (SWT) asking his forgiveness. Let anyone of you who has committed adultery or molestation returns to Allah (SWT) promises Him that he will never do it again. May Allah (SWT) help you all, and bless you.
Alayhe as-Salam [All Peace of Allah be upon him].
